Default Tundra dyno

So the good news is before the tune, with just intake, exhaust and headers I put down 356hp and 368tq. My mods work very well together.

The bad news is I'm pretty much running ideal and the ecu won't let the truck put out anymore. before the tune I was at 12:1 AFR which is pretty good. My tuner tried to lean it out to 13:1 but no matter what he did, I couldn't gain anything. Making it a little richer made it lose power, so the URD unit was working.

Final result was 358.7 hp and 369tq to the wheels at 13.1 AFR. 2.7hp gain and 1 ft lb. Gain.

The tuner explained to me the way these MAF calibrators work is basically fine tuning the afr from the intake system. Apparently stock systems aren't too efficient and most aftermarket intakes are barely better.

This wasn't the case with my volant CAI as it was right on with where it had to be. The long tube headers also helped lean it out some too leaving very little room for improvement.

So I'm glad my truck is running pretty strong but bummed I couldn't squeeze any more out of it. Wish I knew this before I bought the unit. But I would have never known other wise. Really wish we had more tuning options.

You could try mixing a little E85 in with the fuel that might lean it out. A couple gallons a tank might due the trick.

I edited my original post and added the dyno print out.

I kinda had a feeling after the initial pull that my gains would be small. I mean these trucks put out around 310-315hp to the wheel stock and I was putting out 356hp with just intake, exhaust, and headers. But i guess 2 hp gain is better than nothing. I guess. lol.
