i dynoed out at 226.5. How's that for stock.

 

Thats about normal for a 4.8.

I didnt dyno stock but with E-fans,air intake and a 87 octane tune I made 244hp and 268tq.
Then with a 93 octane tune it made 256 and 275.
This week im adding a 04 Z06 cam,ASP pulley and going to retune.

I have a ECSB 04 GMC.

That's not too bad.My stock 4.8 with 5 spd. manual trans was 239.2 hp and 246.9 tq. stock .

220/250 seems to be amount the right range +/- 15.

 

Yep, put down 229/256 today in mine with just a quick tune, only mods being CAI and catback.

that sucks dude! how did yall getting higher than me.I did 3 dyno runs and my highest was 204hp and 239tq.are you sure that there stock.

 

Chevyboy17... the newer 4.8 has a higher H.P. rating from I think 02+.

 

nice numbers, my 06 5.3 with a corsa catback and wheatley tune only put down 246rwhp and 270rwtq on a Mustang dyno.
