Default smokeshow re-dyno

Decided to make the switch to speed density. Spent 8 hours on the dyno today making the switch, and damn are the E38s a pain to swap lol. Since the stock OS only has a virtual VE table, me and the guy running the dyno had to build one out of raw airflow units...pain in the *** lol. Still needs quite a bit of work, especially in the idle and transient fueling.

Numbers today were 623hp and 738tq at 15psi on a mustang dyno. We ended up running it too rich back to back so many times that the plugs were fouling by the end of the day. We could feel the misfires at high load/rpm, so we decided not to add any more timing past peak torque. All of that power was made on only 9 of timing

I made friends with the guy who owns the dyno, so I will be returning probably next week with new plugs to see if I can't crack 700rwhp. I'll be bringing some 100 octane too

No graphs because the plugs kept getting worse the more we tuned it. Also, update on my fuel system...I installed a custom returnless setup with two stock fuel pumps in-tank in parallel, and its rock solid. SO this is an NNBS fuel system with a shitload of potential and costs half as much to build as the aftermarket setups. Fuel pressure is solid at 60psi and injector duty cycle didn't reach 70%. More info on the fuel setup later if anyone is curious!

Questions...what plugs should I be running? I have been running TR6s at .030" gap, guy at the shop recommended TR7s at .025" gap. Sound about right?

Are you sure the quick spool valve was open this time?

Yep, stock bottom end. Just cam and head studs, seems to be the recipe for awesome power these days Quick spool was definitely open this time, I watched it open on one of the dyno passes lol. I think I have some pics of the fuel system in my phone, have to find em. It looks a little wacky since it was kind of a prototype, but any more I build in the future will be more refined. Will find those later, maybe sometime this weekend.

And yes...I plan on taking it to the track some point in the near future lol.
