Look to double these numbers though soon, be like bolting another 4.8L in, one for each drive tire.

Also, for any one who thinks these numbers are low, unstrap from your local dyno jet and find a mustang dyno and post your results. This dyno breaks peoples hearts around here. One example is my talon put down 570HP on this dyno and went 110MPH in the 1/8 in a 3000LB car.

 

I need to find a dyno around here and see what mine puts down, I have always been curious.

 

nice baseline, your going to like that muffler I got the same one with the mods in my sig I love it, sounds mean wide open.

 

Those numbers are outrageous for a stock 4.8 on a mustang dyno. Those numbers are more typical of a 5.3 on a dynojet! Maybe it's due to the manual tranny. But my stock lq9 only got 269 on a dynojet, so I'd say you got a good running 4.8 there.

 

Did you say the dyno was in 3rd gear? That would explain the higher than average numbers. Don't be afraid to spin 'er up in 4th. I did with mine

 

I hope so. How loud is it? 1-10 scale. I know with the cats removed the truck will get a good bit louder. I figure the turbo will help some with the rasp, but i might have to later add a inline also if it's to loud for DD'ing.
