Went to Futral today to get the truck tuned. The best the Whipple ever did was 503rwhp with the converter locked, 461rwhp with unlocked converter.
The first pull with the procharger on a mail order tune and unlocked converter was 507rwhp
After some tweaking by Allan it managed a best of 539rwhp unlocked. That was a nice 78hp gain. Made one pull with the converter locked and it made 563rwhp 533rwtq
I'm well on my way to my 600+ goal. Next will be another cam. My current cam was made to work with the whipple and is too small for the D1Sc. It should pick up quite a bit with a bigger cam.
Met Edawg while I was there, nice guy and badass truck too

Are you more pleased with the progressive power on the centrifugal?? They are alot easier to launch Im sure. You made so much more power lower in the band with the whipple, how do you like driving with the procharger? Just curious, why not turbo?

Whipple-4500rpm's=380rwhp/445rwtq
Procharger-4500rpm's=380rwhp/455rwtq
Whipple-4750rpm's=405rwhp/450rwtq
Procharger-4750rpm's=415hp/458tq
Whipple-5000rpm's=422hp/445tq
procharger-5000rpm's=448hp/470tq
Whipple-5250rpm's=439hp/439tq
Procharger-5250rpm's=470hp/470tq
Whipple-5500rpm's=452hp/432tq
Procharger-5500rpm's490hp/475tq
Whipple-5750=461hp/419tq
Proharger-5750=503hp/460tq
Whipple-6000=458hp/400tq
Procharger-6000=520hp/455tq
Whipple-6250=452hp/381tq
Procharger-6250=530hp/445tq
Whipple-6500=445hp/365tq
Procharger-6500=537hp/430tq
The Whipple made peak tq of 455 at 4555rpm's While the Procharger peaked tq of 473 at 5095 rpm's.
Whipple's hp peaked at 461hp at 5750 rpm's while the procharger just pulled it's *** off to 539hp at 6550 rpms' while keeping tq above 425 all the way to 6550 rpm's as well.
With the right cam the numbers will change quite a bit.
I really like the Procharger so far, it just pulls and pulls where the Whipple just had nothing more to give. I would like to say its easier to launch, but the power really comes in sooner than people think, plus with the 3000 converter and 4.10 gears that doesnt help matters any either.
Now,why didnt I go with a turbo? Cost for one, with the injectors, fuel pumps and Procharger with the D1SC and 3 core intercooler I'm still cheaper than a Livernois kit with upgraded turbo(I would still have to buy the 60lb injectors and duel pumps)
Plus, I do like being different and everybody and there mother is going turbo. I know,I know, the turbo setups are making crazy power, buts there is more than one way to go fast. I'm far from being done with this thing
