Your truck probably makes good power. If it's a stock 5.3, with stock 5.3 heads, with a stock 4l60e converter, with a medium sized cam, with long tube headers and single 3" exhaust, then everyone, including yourself, has a pretty good idea what it should make and what it should run. If you're worried about a track number, go to a track with some better air and see if it runs the number. Does it run good on the street against guys with similar mods? If so, cool. There's no magic goin on here...A STOCK 5.3 is what it is...
I do make more than 320hp and yes I do only run a 14sec 1/4 mile. Prove me otherwise! I NEVER said I make 370rwhp from Idle to 7000rpm, If I did, yes, I would also expect 12sec 1/4 mile times. I installed the wide band yesterday and noticed that my AFR is at the low 11's from take off to about 3200 rpm so that must be the reason why my 60' is so bad. And I would have thought that EVEN YOU would know that HP IS NOT CALCULATED FROM YOUR ET TIME! According to my ET time then yes, I should prob only have 300rwhp at most. BUT its calculeted from weight and SPEED, which leaves me at 347.47. AT 1950 DA.

What DA did you run that time at? And how much did your truck weigh at the time?

Your 1/4mile time is calculated by a series of timers down the 1320' of the dragstrip.

You're right...EVEN I DO KNOW THAT HP IS NOT CALCULATED FROM YOUR ET...What retard would?

Ok...say you actually do make 375rwhp...Congratulations...Now what exactly do you want from that? That's your peak HP. How long during the 1/4mile run are you actually at the peak of 6800 or whatever you're spinning? Why care what all of ******** say about your inflated dyno numbers? It's the internet fella. If your truck runs good and your happy with, then what else do you want?

Do another series of mods. Throw some nitrous on it. See if the mods pick up rwhp accordingly. Like I said in the first post. This is your only dyno run. There is absolutely nothing else to go off of as far as a baseline for your truck.

I agree with you completely... And YES I do agree that my numbers are inflated. I dont think my truck even peaked out at 360. But I DO think I peaked out at more that 320... I know that I'm only at the peak for about 5 seconds in the entire run. I just want people to quit low ballin me because of the big numbers it put down. Like I said, from the first time I put it on the dyno, I found it very hard to believe, but the OP told me that the numbers were accurate all because I had a stock stall. But now I know thats not true.. But I DO think that my truck would still put down an impressive number on any dyno, because of the fact that the custom grind that I have would put down good numbers on the dyno but it doen't preform that well on the street.

The exact specs are: XE-R Lobes 224/232 .581/.595 114 with 0 degrees advance- Which is killing my bottom end but helping my top end and dyno numbers. The cam card said 114 ICL, that with a 114 LSA, doesn't that mean 0 adv?

I see, I would just like to compare our DA corrected times... That would give us an almost exact comparison.

Yeah I'm not sayin your numbers are inflated...But, they're just that...numbers. Get your 60' down, maybe shed some weight, and go run 12's. To hell with what ******** like me say about the dyno numbers

I think they're inflated... at least 20-30 hp. But hey, your truck is fast. It's right on the edge of 13s and 100mph is pretty good. I trap ~100-101 usually, but I've got some tuning issues I need to work out.

I think the point of this thread is to figer out if the truck really did make this power not to sit here and say theres no way in hell and who cares about dyno numbers.. i beleave it can do it, his cam will do vary good on a dyno cause its desined to make a good peak power not under the curve power that you really need, iv seen stock long block 5.3s make 500hp on an engine dyno before.. crazy new numbers dyno numbers come up every day, i ran 13.4 with 316hp and 288tq on the same dyno and same track?? In the end it most likely wont run any better then any other 5.3 but that dont mean the engine didnt peak out higher then the rest.
