Thanks for the replys guys! And no offense taken. Thats just what i wanted, to see what other people think. Trevor1t, i agree with you that i myself have seen alot of trucks with similar mods put down in the low 300's. I guess the whole point of this thread was i'm trying to figure out if me having a stock stall is the reason for the big numbers or if the dyno is. The op of the dyno told me he has seen up to a 90 rwhp loss just from going to a big stall from the stock one. I just wish i had a dyno closer than 4hrs away then i'd try another one. It seems like most cammed and stalled 5.3's put down 310 to 330 to the wheels, what are the stock stalled ones doing? I only know of m3srt and he put down 383, but he has the new motor. Although i could see a 10 to 15 horse gain between his cam and mine.

i seen cars make what they should on this dyno and cars that made more than they should. why? i dont know.. yes ive seen cars come back to retune some small things and they had put in a stall as why and lost alot of hp and they think what they put on lost them hp or our tuning is off.. but theres only 2 things that make power timing and fuel.

That reminds me, i've seen my injector duty cycle hit 114% up at the high rpm. It's definitely making some power lol

With converter locked (and most dyno pulls are, i believe) I can't see losing anything on account of the converter unless run unlocked. My nitrous pulls are done unlocked and the graph looks entirely different.

NICE! I think i might gain a mph or two if i went back to the track on a cold day with my new 4.56's buy with the old gears it always felt like it bogged for a while right after the 2-3 shift. And i wasn't in 3rd very long before i hit the quarter. Now i'm like at 6k at the quarter.

lots of good info in here! with the mods in my sig and my 5.3 my truck only made 355 horse power to the wheels with boost, but thats going to be my basline (lots of future mods) my best track time on the left

Gotta get me a true track some sticky tires, and more boost!

I ran a 14.020@100.5 in 1950 ft DA. DA corrected to around 200 ft above sea level it would have ran a 13.7@103ish. Now since my power numbers as weather corrected, i did a rwhp calculation using my weight and DA corrected speed and came up with 368rwhp. Not that far off. Another thing, m3srt made 383ish to the wheels with a smaller cam but a better motor. I know he ran 103 but i dont know what his DA was when he did that. I was just bored and thinkin about it and i thought i'd see what ya'll think.
I believe they are inflated, not much better than my 4.8 ext cab with minimal mods, and I'm posting a better 60'. I would think you are closer to 300-320 to the wheels. The big question is why are you bringing this up again, you must like drama.LOL

M3SRT's dyno numbers were a joke too only an idiot would think a cam only 5.3 would put down over 450 ft lbs

I really want to know why so many people think a higher stall torque converter is going to subtract 40 rwhp on a dyno. The converter is LOCKED in 3rd gear. I know there is usually less friction material in smaller converters, but there isn't very much slip at all. If the converter is unlocked, I could maybe see that, but if the converter is locked, there should be minimal differences between an aftermarket stall and the stock one on a dyno.
