Bringing back on old post, but In the last few months I've had the itch for more power in the truck, especially since the tranny let go hauling a big trailer so I ended up building the tranny and adding a 2200 stall. The truck needs more power, so I guess what do you guys recommend for options.

Option #1, TBSS intake with 90mm throttle body, complete intake and throttle body and Adapter harness will likely be 550-600 total.

Option #2, Bigger camshaft, and likely new springs as well as I am running Z06 springs but was okay with the XR265 cam. New cam, springs, retainers, push rods will likely be 800-1000 total.

Option #3, build a proper exhaust system, it is the loudest truck in my subdivision but I'm sure it's restricted where it steps down to the muffer and should be a straight through setup.

Any other suggestions, I don't plan on boosting it as I have to finish my Camaro at some point but I don't mind throwing a few bucks at it, I'd like to be closer to 400 now that the tranny will take some abuse.

If you really think your exhaust is a restriction, then doing a larger cam or intake / TB mods will just make it more of a restriction.

Well, it's been a bit since I updated this, I had bought the stuff piece by piece to do the TBSS/NNBS intake and put it together last week. Got it on the dyno today and I have to say it was well worth the time and money. I had heard a few people say it makes good power, some said it makes none, but with the heads and cam I think it really needed the extra air. I also dropped the exhaust at the muffler and It only made a few hp more so I think the exhaust is working well the way it is. Anyway, here is the graph, I had him overlay the old dyno graph from last summer to see the difference, I would love to have this engine in a smaller car....lol.

I have the same setup just with a 218/224 .550/.550 114 cam in it. This kinda makes me feel good about my setup.

I'm in the middle of a LQ4 swap, if you don't mind me asking did you make a pass down the track with the track before and after?
