Sorry if this is a hijack, but what if it was on a 112?
Would the peak TQ be a higher number, or just peak at an earlier RPM?
Everything else being equal?

Does it feel a lot stronger with the new setup? It may not be impressive by the numbers, but you know what they say... dynos are a tuning tool.

It feels awesome, even on the big tires. It pulls noticeably harder, albeit a little higher in the rpms. The whole revving it 800rpms further is new to me but I like it. As I said earlier I'm just dying for it to be warm enough to go to the track for the sake of comparison.

Just delends on combo and what you are doing. 2 deg won't be a whole lot of difference but 4 deg is. The 112 will make a little better mid range tq and on the smaller cams the tighter lsa's usually make more power thru ought the whole curve. On cams 220 deg + the wider lsa's hold on longer past pk power but give up some mid range.

No, it was stock size tires on the dyno.

I have towed a couple times since getting it tuned and there has been no adverse effects, but I can't say there has been any benefit at all either. For towing I probably should've just re-geared.

Should be able to get to the track soon, hopefully that goes well and makes me feel better about this little project.

With you saying that you didnt see any benefit for towing from the cam swap has me skeptical now..im looking at small cams for my lq9..im wanting more low-mid with a bump in top end..i need some extra grunt when i tow my 87 full size mud truck..ive got 4.10s and 33s too

A small supercharger would be best for towing, but $$$
