I know its been done past 330RWHP on a NBS 5.3L, stock 862 heads, stock intake manifold, and a NON HO engine. Its hard to find actual dyno sheet with all those stipulations on your OP though lol. It wasn't much past the 330 mark though, I think it was 341RWHP and IDK what dyno it was. The video might be on youtube.

I think it was a 224/230 .581/.588 112 lsa cam also.

Your buddy is correct though, the normal is about 330RWHP. Every once in awhile you will see a 335-340RWHP as per your OP. Some people have those "Special" trucks that just dyno a tad higher than everyone else also. Maybe they were made on a certain day haha who knows, I am sure you have herd jokes about that before.

many people on rgv are putting close to 400 RWHP if not over, on cam/heads combo's behind 5.3's // 330 is achievable....

a buddy of mine made 360 rwhp with a cam only 5.3.. had all the bolt ons, 410s and a nbs intake... off the shelf 224 cam as well

Take anything down to the rgv area and it will make 100 more hp than it should lol

Sure most 5.3s don't dyno over 330hp... thats because they put small cams in them and aren't tuned correctly. There's proof right there that even a 220 can make over 330. For the guys with the 230 duration cams with lift close to .600 I know that with the correct tuning their trucks should be on up there.

i dyno'd on the corvette world dyno and my 4.8 put down 320/343.....no one belives me but i have no reason to lie about it....guerorcsb was there and saw it put down those numbers, not sure if thats still his screen name or not.
