Baseline runs today.
I went to a dyno day @ DTM Motorsports this morning and got a few runs on their Mustang Dyno. All the guys at this shop were happy to help.
I dont have a scanner, so until Nick emails me my graph, you will just have to take my word for the numbers.
256rwhp @ 5000rpm. Thats where he let off- the graph is still climbing.
298rwtq @ 3700rpm. The curve is nice and flat.
This is with a 2004 5.3 auto; shorties; Magnaflow catback with a extra muffler; LS1 fans; stock airbox/filter; 40,000mi, stock plugs. EFIlive Tune.
22" Centerlines w/ 265/40/22 Toyo's.
Runs were done with the AC on as I wanted to know what I am dealing with while driving.
This is a little better than I expected.
Now I need to swap cams and see what that does.

Nice numbers. Those numbers, however, only tell part of the story - they belie how powerful your truck feels when driven.
I think the cam will elevate your HP/TQ curves 12-15 over the entire range. I predict that you will be pleased with the results, especially low-end.
When is the install scheduled?

It feels quite a bit different from when you drove it. I ditched the Volant and went back to a stock airbox. Lo and behold, I have throttle response and lowend torque.
I was surprised with the 256 only because it was a Mustang, and ambient temp was over 90*.
I havent figured out a schedule yet. Hopefully before the end of August I will get a chance to do the work.
I am hoping for +30 peak and +15 all over.
Either way with the tune somewhat sorted, I enjoy driving again.
Now if I could finish the important project...

Thats what im thinking too. Notice he let off at less than 5000rpm? Where do 5.3 run out of breath with the stock cam? Oh well.
Cam within the next month. Remote oil cooler and tranny cooler after that.
Then I start saving for the Radix.
When you shipping out grippy?
