I probably would not swap him unless it was for a lot more cubic inches (364 +). You are already close to 400 rwhp and I would consider that cam pretty freakin huge for a truck.

I would agree. If you was stock I'd say yes. But your already in the same boat as him. Can't really justify the work involved to swap for an engine that's going to keep you in the same bracket your already in.

I wouldn't do it. 391 to the wheels is the highest I've heard of for a N/A 5.3 dyno'ed.

what is his motivation to put a cast iron block in his FBod (or truck) sounds a little strange to want to trade down in cubes. Obviously the 347 has more potential, maybe not the way it is setup now but with the right combo. As it was offered I also would decline.

I would agree with everyone above. Plus I would like to hear more about your combo. Thats the highest rwhp I've heard of to out of a n/a 5.3

ls1 one plus's would be light block and more potential. But you have a nice setup now. So unless you plan on adding some bolt-ons to the ls1 I would stick with what you have

It does make more power, but its really not worth the trouble of changing engines for .4 liters of engine.

If you're going to go with an engine swap, like said above, 6.0L or larger is a must.
