5.3 dyno results with tr220 cam
#122
Ok I have a question about cams. How exactly do they make power? I'm looking for a good can for low end torque. I just installed a set of mid length headers. 3" cat back exhaust. And I've noticed that it feels a little more sluggish off the bottom end. I'll be getting a trail blazer TC. To raise the stall a little. That should help. And the heads I'm porting and polishing should help as well. But with cams I'm confused on what to much lift is. And how lift/duration effects the hp/tq curve. Any input would be awesome. Thanks.

Whats up guys! Great thread...I was wanting to see if i could get a push in the right direction. im having a hard time figuring out which cam to run with my set up OR future setup.(parts are on the way as of today) Either the tr220 or the tr224.. mods are going to be...DeatschWerks #44 injectors, hooker super comp headers, FAST LSXRT 102mm intake, FAST 102mm Big Mouth Tb,FAST fuel rail. TCI 3000 or 3200 stall depending on what cam i run. any advice would be greatly appreciated!

That being said it sounds like you're gonna have a runner. Check out this guide, I learned a great deal from it and welcome to the site!
