Default '08 5.3 Yukon

This is the first dyno run after my cam install. Mods on the Yukon are:

Stock 3.73s
20" Rims - 285/50/20 tires
Comp Cams XR265H14 (212/218 .522/.529 114LSA)
AFE Torque Tube
K&N Panel filter
Gutted Cats
Tuning by yours truly

STOCK springs are still being used. (Will be getting those changed out soon)

Dyno operator said I should be shooting for 13AFR. But searching alot of forums, I heard these trucks run bes at 12.5... Please lemme know, tune was done on the street with an LM1. Timing is conservative, reading 20.5* at WOT

20.5* is nothing. You must be tuned for 87 octane.

It'd be interesting if you could start your pull at about 2k rpm

I increased the timing and lost power on the dyno... the dyno lost my run..

Here's a run with a tune for 12.5AFR as above and one with 13AFR... looks like these GenIVs love richer mixes!

Post up results when you put the LTs on. I am looking at doing the same setup soon. I feel like you can pick up 20rwhp or more b/c the headers will really wake the cam up.

I hope you get there, should be around 315/333. What gears are in it? Plans for a TC? I plan on pretty much the exact mods for the wife's Tahoe plus a TBTC.

Are the SLP or ASP pulleys really worth it? I've been hearing throttle response rev speed does increase with them being installed... it seems like a nice budget mod to do..

Your money is probably better spent elsewhere, but if you have run out of things to do, why not? Mixed reviews about them on this site, it seems most say if you can get it cheap used, do it, but not worth it for full price.

Well got back from the dyno.. not too happy with the tuning.. my injectors are at 120% at WOT!! I really have no idea whats going on, need to set the MAF settings back to stock and see what I can do to get the AFR dialed in right...

Either way, with a half tuned Yukon with Pacesetters and the mods in the first post I netted:

313HP and 328TQ.

I'm hoping once the tuning gets done proper, Ill gain an extra 5-10hp... I really want a bigger cam now!!! lol
