Default winter track prep has begun

started turning street truck into street/race truck. got some hoosier slicks thanks to pittman. started cutting some weight where possible. weighed 4200 before, would like to get it 100-200lbs lighter. still want to keep it streetable. dropped some more weight off the exhaust. post turbo is only 10lbs now, ha ha. actually very quiet in the cab. got a trim ring coming. 6 pt cage, seats and 5pt harness will begin after Christmas.

Are those Nissan Titan 5 spokes up front? By the way really like the look of your truck. What size tires do you run for your street setup?

yes they are Titan's. 305/40 18 nitto 555 drag radials out back, 235/50 18 nitto 555 in front. like the small fronts so they work good on the street and strip. would probably look better w/ more sidewall, but all about keeping things light.

I am 4140 lbs, in street trim and me in it with 1/3 tank of gas. You are close to me no doubt. Gonna be fun to watch your build. Post up the pics as you go.

yea its loud as hell outside, but its much quieter in the cab. that vid doesn't sound nearly as loud as in person. go pro doesn't have the greatest sound quality. going to install a 2 step later, that should be interesting to hear/see out the fender...lol slowly becoming strictly track truck.

got little more work done. got some cheap drag shocks. they are the 3 way adjustable competition engineering shocks. part # 2610 for the fronts set at 90/10. 2755 for the rears set at 50/50. relocating rears straight up behind axle. also removed front sway bar. don't now how handling will be on the street w/ 90/10 shocks and no sway bar. should get her to hook good at the track tho. radio/cd player and speakers are also going bye bye. right around 50 lbs lost total. once i lose the front seats for some 20# race seats. should get me close to the 4000lb mark.

I tried those exactly shocks and can tell you they suck! Way too small for these trucks. I had lots of bouncing issues with those.
