Default Up or Down?

So which is the fastest? Tailgate up or down in the 1/4? I'm too afraid to try up, have always raced with it down. Anyone try both and see?

14.6s w/ it up
14.3s w/ it down

...but changed timing by a few degrees in the mid & upper band, so that could be the result of my time diff.

i dont think the weight savings would be that beneficial unless you're removing other things too. they weigh what....40lbs or so? and you have less drag with it up. so i'm gonna lean toward leaving it up

I put mine down when I was on street tires, it seemed to help with traction. I'd take it off though.
