Going to really try this winter. The new SS stall and new rubber will be key. All else remains the same. I need a 1.4x sixty foot, killer air, and the seat out for it to happen.

Cool, you bump up the stall speed from 3600?

No, went from a 10" Pro 3600 down to a 9" SS3600

Oh, ok got ya. Less rotational mass and should have a bit higher shift extensions.

How does it feel day to day? Would be nice to here a first hand opinion on it. My guess would be a tighter feel due to the smaller pump keeping it more efficient at that speed.

Pretty crazy... but I drove the 3600 Pro almost daily, and it was like stock feel till you hammer it. Foot off the brake and it would go like a stock converter. This new SS 3600 doesn't even move with my foot off the gas. Totally different truck now. Takes some peddle to get her to roll at all. Really loose converter. I haven't really got to launch it hard yet, but hope to pick up a little power down low.

The old converter\setup would shift at 6050 rpm and drop to 4800, which was still in my peak torque area...about 410 rwtq. There is a dyno sheet in my album. Peak tq hits around 4600 rpm

Wow, that is the exact opposite of what I was thinking. Speaks well for the Yank Pro for daily driving if you want a higher stall.

Why not wind it out a little further? Looks to be making peak power around 6.2k, shift 6.5k or so.

We took EFI live to the track on day one (very first pass was 11.49), and every time we added 100 rpm to the shifting after 6100 rpm, it lost a tenth in ET. We then went back to 6050-6100 area and was back on our game.

That is a head scratcher for sure... very odd especially since its running a FAST intake manifold. Hell what puts down the numbers go with it lol

Yeah we tried all the way to 6500 rpm and I was going up into 11.9's ET. Any more I would have been running low 12's.
