Default Tried to get some new times, no luck..

well I finally had a chance to go to the track and try my 28" tires..

my previous best with the 26's (spinning) is:

1.722
7.951 @ 85.61
12.577 @ 105.84

well today I did 10 passes on the 28's and they all were 12.5x!! every single one of them damn I tried so hard to get a 12.4 pass but it just wont do it I tried stalling it all the way to ~2600 and even just taking off from idle and it still got a 12.5x and they were all 1.68 and 1.69 60fts..

this was the best one of the night.

1.684
7.889 @ 85.94
12.526 @ 105.27

am I just asking too much for an ECSB??

by the way the 28's feel damn good and takes off hard off the line..

What has changed since the 1.722 60' other than the new 28'' tires? From what you described, your truck is very consistant. How was your MPH this go around?

only change is the 28" tires....

and it ran consistant 105.xmph all night..

I am on a nitrous tune, timing is at 26*, I think I going to get a retune and get it tuned for n/a so I can bump up the timing.... do ya'll think this would help my n/a times..??

It's possible. I gained a mph and a tenth by bumping up from 25 to 30 degrees. But, I was going a lot slower than you (14.0 @ 96 vs. 13.9 @ 97).

You should invest in some tuning software of your own so that you can make changes after each pass.

Agreed! Man, with EFILive custom operating system 5, you can run your NA tune all the time, and when you wanna spray, just arm the system and your tune is able to run however many degrees less timing you want to run. It uses the valet mode in the PCM and that COS gives you a timing table where you could say subtract 3 degrees when the switch is armed. You can switch it on on the fly, and only have to have one wire going to the pcm.

thats way too close to 12.4's for us not to get it there. what lil tricks did you use?
just read your on a nitrous tune...swap in some tr55's and get allen or charlie to bump that timing. that might be all you need for some 12.4's until you get your new injectors.

also your still on stock injectors right? whats your duty cycle @ NA? i know im already at 100% and im camless. youve gotta be up there. another guy did a heads up comparison between the 28" tires and the 26" tires and got a better 60' with the 26" tires but was .02 faster with the 28's.

damn i hope i can pull some 60' times like that with my fuddle 3200 i could maybe pull a 12 camless that way

dude you definitely have a 12.4 truck if you can get up to nelson and do a dyno tune you may be the first 6.0 x-cab in the 12.3s with no power adder.

you have a very respectable truck

what is your set up you have the best 60 foot i know of for an x-cab

Those are some great times so you shouldn't be dissapointed. When are you going to do a nitrous pass on the new setup and what intake are you using?
