Default Trans/flex plate shield?

What's everybody running for a shield on an 80e? I'm debating on doing a tci flex plate shield and blanket but I hate to run a blanket on the street.

Im not running anything. It's just unneeded added weight.

I do have the OEM shield though.

One of the tracks I run at requires it. They will probably kick me out anyway but it's worth a shot.

The one track will if you run faster than 7.50's in the 1/8th. It's not a bad idea anyway with the kind of power we are making in these trucks. Not to mention the weight and the stress it puts on the drivetrain.

In that case just get the OEM dustshield. I'm sure you can find one locally for cheap

Yeah, but you prolly don't make the kinda power that a Civic with VTek does.

I was actually just messing with ya. I was making a reference to this vid. Thought you may have seen it. https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...d.php?t=459356

Anyways, if you are revving high, and making power, you REALLY should have one. They are valuable safety equipment. Like wearing a helmet, or whatever. You probably will never need it, but if something went wrong, you could easily lose a foot or a leg.
