Trans Controller
#11
I have the older version of the FAST/TCI trans controller. It requires a laptop to tune which means that it is a lot more tunable than the EZ-TCU that they offer now. I also hear that the older version plays better with large converters. no clue how much truth there is to that. I'm happy with it. You can still find the older versions used online for cheap. I think I paid 300 for mine.

here is the one I have new in the box for 400 OBO. I'd offer 300 and see what he says. hopefully replacing your internal harness fixes the issue though.

Yeah, the software not changing commands in the tranny. Something going on. I even changed computers in the truck. As mentioned in my other thread, it must be internal wiring on my refreshed tranny. It was fine before that. I will go that direction before thinking of a controller.
The fact this just started after rebuild really points to a trans issue to me. Just IMO.

I would explore this wiring possibility before going aftermarket, Ive used a couple aftermarket Trans controllers and have yet to find one that allowed the options of the stock PCM. Not saying they dont exist, I just have yet to see one. (havent done much research)
