Default time to buy traction upgrades

It's to buy my traction upgrades for this spring. Caltracs and drag radials with smaller rims.
If I were to buy one or the other, which would help the most? I'm having trouble convincing my wife about "special tires, just for the track".LOL
I need some recommendations and convincing.
thanks.
Mike

Right now I'm running the stock 20's with Goodyear 275/55/R20.

Sorry for the questions but what kind traction issues do you have at this point?
What is the truck doing when you launch?
It take quiet a bit of power to blow 4 tires off.

I can buy "basically" anything I want. I just feel guilty sometimes spending a couple of thousand bucks sometimes.

Cal tracs...being AWD you should not be having traction issues at this point IMO that would require DR's..But If you feel you have to have DR's if you have your stock 20's Nitto makes a new DR that may work well for ya.
