Default Think I should be faster......

Been to the 1/8th a couple of times now and this is about my avg times. 60ft 1.79 330ft 5.37 et 8.45 mph 79.77
Never can top 80mph. This is with ET Streets but my problem seems to be on the other end of the track but it seems to pull good.
Anyone else with a similar setup?? Hopefully I'll have the 370 in soon and that should wake things up but would like a fair comparison in times.
Not sure but think it weighs in around 4600 w/ me.

Your trap speed seems low. I used to could catch around 78 mph on 100 shot. My 60 foot was way slower than yours....

Whats your Elevation?
I know the heat sucks big time bout now. but it was 88* the night i made these passes..

mine EC weighs in at 5000# full street weight and this is what i ran at our local 500' Track.. (1/8th mile is 660' btw)

First pass
5psi
2.35 60'
7.92 @ 71 (Remeber 500' not 660')

Sencond pass
5psi
2.34 60'
7.93 @ 71

Third pass on a 50 shot through a TB Spacer from Nitrous Dave? AFR was 10.8 in boost so the shot was a lil rich. On a WOT switch, stallin it to 2000 and hittin it at line.
2.04 60'
7.087 @ 78.1

Forth pass was something like a 2.08 60'
7.09 @ 78?

This was on LQ4/80E stock verter/3.42s/26" MT DRs/STS 5psi.

Maybe it's the small displacement (324) and smaller valves that hurt the top- end. I'm not sure of the elevation at our track, I'll have to check. I do know there's a stock 95 Impala LT1 with a progressive NOS sprayer that kicks my ***...like 3-4 10'ths faster and we are pretty much the same weight.
I gotta get the 370 in...................

It's not the displacement, you've got a blower. Nitrous cools the iat's alot. I do agree, come on 370.

The torque converter would be my first suspect.

No I'm pretty sure it was under 80mph with the stock converter but my 60ft improved big time (slicks of course).

mine is strange too. 1/8 = 8.502 @ 82.81. mods is sig. + 26" ET Streets. This is before I got the verter locking correctly. I need some good weather to try it out now
