If i were you, i would keep the headers the way they are or maybe get them coated inside and out.. Get a new Ypipe made that goes from 2.5 at the flange to 3.0... They Merge the 2 3.0 mid-pipes together with a 3.0->3.5 merge collector, then run 3.5 all the way out... Make sure to keep the pipes as straight as possible...

Do some research on merge collectors, you will find what I recommended is what all the racing teams use...The merging helps with scanvenging, the exhaust velocity speeds up when they merge, then the sudden expansion creates a suctioning effect which pulls the exhaust out...

My exhaust is built the same way, and at the track with the cutout open sounds freaking SWEET, ask anyone who has heard my little 4.8 go down the track...

if you had a auto/decent converter/slicks then yes 12's easy, but i dont know with the 5speed.

BTW i have AEM LT headers with 2.5" collectors going into 3" the rest of the way and i think they're fine..

Corey, who told you your exhaust sounds good?

I think you can do it. What are you gonna be running for tires? 30x10 slicks?

I dont think the 5 speed will allow fast enough shifting for 12's...Just my opinion.

Good luck.
