I didn't know where to post this so I'm throwing it in here. In my current config do you guys think I can hit the 12.xx's yet? I destroy plenty on the streets but just wondering if I can contend with the 12 second boys yet. I laid down 38x rwhp 38xrwtq last time I was at the dyno. With 3.73's and the 5 speed manual in a RCSB truck, do you think I'm in the 12 second range yet? If not, I need to get there. Maybe I need some e-fans yet

that will be your only issue. 12's can be had with 350ish rwhp in a reg cab with the right trans add-ons/converter/gear ratio.
i think you can if that trans can make a quick 2-3 shift. the 1-2 shift is pretty good in that trans far as i can remember, but my old 5 speed truck didnt make any power.

im thinking the same thing!!!
But really, yea i think you should break the 12's, but just barely!
your going to need the weight reduction, e-fans, underdrive pulley, port and polished throttlebody, and CAI to get well enough in the 12's.

You're right. The 1-2 is a fairly quick shift. 2-3 is delayed but if you know how to coerce it just right it can be a "normal" speed shift. I can hit 110MPH in 3rd so no need to shift again into 4th for the duration of the run. Maybe it's time to step up to larger headers with true duals before I do anything else........
