Default SS496vs.kenne bell F150

Meeting my nephew back at cecil tommarrow for a rematch.Last time out I broke at the line and he ran 10.96@122 but later in the day he burned a piston. So Johnny Lightning put a new set of pistons and a set of comp cams and a smaller pulley.I think my big block got him nervous.lol
I dont see me getting him now unless he can't hook,I hope.lol I'll let you know how it turns out.

From the time I got there until an hour after I left I had the better time,my 10.89 to his 10.91.But then just when I was getting home he called and gave me the bad news,he added 3 degrees of timing and the DA got better 10.78 son of a bitch.lol

Without making excuses I think my 4 year old 400 turbo is starting to go away.it is slipping on the 2/3 shifts, not bad but its getting worse the more I run it.
Back to the Ford,I think he also did a pulley swap although he didn't say because he did have a smaller 3.2 pulley with him and Johnny Lightning was saying about swaping it out.Either way those SOB's got me.lol A ? Right now I'm running 36 degrees of timing at 3500 rpm do you think 2 more would still be safe?

Great job. Your loud chevy would rattled his ford nerves and you would have got the win. That is the way I saw it playing out anyhow. Always nice to see fast trucks!

with your motor, i would say you may can get away with 38degrees. mine likes 35 as a magical # but you have more ci so 38 is probably doable on yours...
