Default Shouldn't be struggling to cut a decent 60 ft at this power level...

Went to the track this past Friday, decent air finally. Only got one pass sadly, but it didn't go great. Did an adequate burnout, got up on the converter - it leaped out, then spun enough to impact my times.

Current suspension consists of:
Front - 2" Belltech drop spindles, 1/2 coil cut factory springs, Viking double adjustables, front sway bar removed.
Rear - brand new replacement leafs with the overloads removed, Bilstien 5100s with Belltech shock extenders, 2" drop hangers and shackles for 4" overall drop, Belltech rear sway bar, Speed Engineering traction bars.

The truck makes a measly 330 rwhp and 360 rwtq on a 248x dynojet. It weighs 4600 and change with me in it. I run on a 315/50R17 M/T Radial Pro, 17x9.5 wheels. It has a 3800 stall single disc.

On a well-prepped track it has been 1.743 60 ft, this past Friday was a weak 1.876

I have drag springs and stock spindles for the front, I just need to find the time to get them installed and the truck re aligned afterwards. I know the rear suspension isn't ideal, the eventual goal is to to an AFP shock relocation with double adjustables.

I am going to switch to a 15x10 with a 295/65R15 radial and see if it helps band aid the situation. Am I missing anything else? I want to get this thing sorted before I install a new engine and better converter. (LQ9, CNC ported 243s, Circle D triple disc) IMO - it would be pointless to throw more power at it if it can't hook for now. Maybe I'm expecting too much, but I feel like this thing should go A to B no problem in its current state.

TIA

How are your bars setup?
Have you tried different setting on them?

Haven't tried different settings. They're in the lowest hole currently, and the front snubbers have a minimal amount of airgap. Maybe I need to go up a hole on thebars to soften the hit?

You can try different holes, and mess with different length setting to either preload or more air gap.

A friend of mine is trying to convince me to buy a set of Smith Racecraft bars. He has them on his truck, makes less HP n/a than mine. Smaller tire, but bias ply. He's spraying 100-150 right out of the gate and it dead hooks. We've run at the same track, so that is a common variable. I'm going to switch to the 295/65R15s and try a few different bar settings as you suggested. See what happens before throwing more parts at it.

I have Caltracs on mine. They started working better, once I was making more power. My best 60ft is 1.35

Well, the 15" wheel and tire combo seems to be the fix. Warmer weather, still went slightly quicker. More importantly it was consistent and left good both passes. I had the tires at 18psi and got a 1.769 sixty the first pass. Dropped to 16psi and backed that up with a 1.756

No new PB, but feels like a win nonetheless. Installing TBM front brakes on Thanksgiving day, going back to the track on the 30th. Hoping for good air that morning and maybe a 12.7x

Made some small adjustments to the bars, tires seem to like 15-16 psi. Got a 1.728 and a 1.735 60ft this past Wednesday night. Right now I am happy with how it's doing considering the weight and lack of power.
