Default set a new pb

Had a horrible day trying to get to the track.. My buddy had a flat on his slick twice b4 we left, finally got it fixing and headed out.

previous time w/ the 4.8/60e:

2.480 --- 60ft
10.299 -- 1/8
70.44 --- mph
15.857 -- 1/4
86.81 --- mph

new pb w/the 6.0/80e: (best 1 of 2 runs )

2.156 --- 60
9.3438 -- 1/8
77.61 --- mph
14.377 -- 1/4
97.40 --- mph

i know its not a SPECTACULAR super fast time, but for what it is it's not bad. I need 4.30 gears, caltracs, 2600 stall and I'll be satisfied. Oh and both were on street tire. She still has more in her as she sits. Aside from the tire change, there was NO weight reduction and had 3/4 tank of fuel

Oh and she towed like a champ through the hills, which is what I wanted

id put a 3000/3200 converter. dont be scared for more converter. you can run a s/c'er or even a turbo on a 3000/3200

that's good times for a small cam 6.0 and stock converter 80e (which weighs like 60lbs lol)

yeah go bigger on the stall imo. i dont think you will notice the difference much part throttle from 2600 and 3200 if you go to the 4.30s. but im sure itll scream wot with gear and 3k+stall

Factory 80e converter is already a 2600 or so. In 4hi I could brake stall mine to that with a low compression 420. Circle D makes a reworked 80e converter thats about a 3000.

cool thanks, I was stalling it up to about 2-2.2k before she wanted to break loose. Is it ok to run a 3000-3200 but still maintain good towing capabilities?
