Default rim spin thoughts

anyone ever had problems with bead breaking on rim ,causing rim to spin and tire not to move off the starting line.I think that what happen to me last week.My 60 ft went 1.52-1.54 to 1.90 -2.15 .log shows rpm and mph match from from previous personal best .log shows a high spike before the gradual pull . i am running the the M/T drag radial 275/60/16 .trap speed also fell from 101-102 to 97.converter slippage in 3rd was 7.59%

Ive had it happen with slicks, but no more than about 3/4 of an inch per pass.

i was having it happen. i was losing about 2 psi per pass. I then marked the tires and saw it spinning a few inches. getting a flat going down the track scared me so i screwed them to the wheels and put in tubes. no issues after that. ironically my best 60ft was with them spinning though.

Make a mark on the tire and wheel first to see if thats actually your problem, I really doubt it is though.

Ive spun tire on rim at 400rwhp...its very possible especially if tire was mounted dry or rim has corrosion on inside

Old trick is to rough off surface prior

I would still mark the wheel/tire first just to make sure. If you do screws you need to use tubes in the tires.

Don't screw radials...use glue
Amazon.com: Permatex 80062 High Tack Gasket Sealant, 4 oz.: Automotive Amazon.com: Permatex 80062 High Tack Gasket Sealant, 4 oz.: Automotive

It works, and people have ripped radials in the most ugly way by screwing them.

Ive ran screws in the past on MT radials after i spun the tire very badly...later on ended up passing those radials onto another person and never leaked
