Ran my 08 SD...

Well Friday, I went to the 1/4 mile race track and ran the truck. I ran a 14.83 and a 14.84 at around 94 mph. The truck was pretty much empty inside and I had a full tank of gas. Tire pressures were at 45LBS. Its AWD. The lower time was me using the manual mode and tow haul button on; the other was the tow haul button doing it's tuned thing with traction control off. Should I be disappointed? There was a stock F150 5.0L running low to mid 14s, a NNBS SCSB running mid to low 15s, A new Tundra with all the blews and whistles running 16s and other trucks running 15s and 16s. Those were just the other stock like trucks there. So should I be running lower times? Am I in need of driver mod, LOL?

(Manual shifting) I was just trying to see if it could get a better time. I was honestly expecting a low 14s run. I didn't expect to be in the 13s or anything. I'll work on my driver mod.

FWIW, I just weighed my Denali, fully loaded (AWD, rear ent., running boards, spray liner) with me in it (210lbs) and a half tank of gas and it was almost 5,800
Lbs.
Lbs. with a full tank of gas, you are at least 5,850-5,900 depending on your own weight. That's a load of pork to try to get moving.

Yeah I figured I was N of 5600 lbs so you're right. I mean If it was a SCSB with my mods I'd definiately be pist if I was in the 14s but I guess its ok for this fat pig. Cool thanks

Tell me about it, my powertrain in a RCSB would be easy 11's. I missed the mention of manual shifting. Skip it, it won't be quicker. Press and HOLD your TC button until stabilitrak is off. That still doesn't completely remove TC, but if torque management was properly
adjusted in tune, it's as good as you'll get. Leave tranny in full auto, flash the converter as high as it will go and hammer it. If you do it right, there is no reason you won't see 1.9-2.0 second 60's.
