Default Ran in the 1/8th Crappy Results, Seeking input

I just got back from the track today. I tried out my drag radials for the first time and had horrible results.

Here was my best pass of the night:
60'-2.10
330ft-5.98
1/8ET-9.09
1/8MPH-80.44

The mods are in my sig. My question is, I'm getting HORRIBLE wheel hop. Are cal-tracs the ultimate solution? My truck was launching hard and the MPH is definitely there, but I couldn't 60' better than a 2.18.

My suspension setup is a 4/6 drop with a flip kit in the rear and doetsch tech shocks. From what I've seen my MPH is good for well into the 13s and 8s(1/8th mile), but even on 26x11.5x16 E/T Streets I couldn't hook at all.

Let me know what you guys think.

Your MPH is good for 8.5 or so. Thats what I have seen with fullsize trucks.

If you could I would go up to a 28" slick... Given the amount of TQ you have the 26" slick is too small IMO..

I'm thinking you may be right. I got these ones for $250 brand new and delivered so obviously the price was right. I'm running 16x10 rims so the contact patch shouldn't be the issue either

I think it is a lack of side wall, that may be the problem... That is a damn good price so i can't blame you for buying them... Do you still have the overload spring installed?

What were you launching at? Did you happen to get any video of the launch?
