I still have the overload installed, and the sidewall idea had crosses my mind

I'm running a detroit truetrac, 3.73s, and a TA rear girdle for my rear end setup.

I tried launching at everything from idle up to 1500. I had the best results around 1000.

Even on my burnouts I was getting serious wheel hop. I've never had any trouble before on street tires which is confusing to me.

What tire pressure were you running? Did you try any different pressures?

I sure did man. I started at 30psi and was hitting high 2.2s and I lowered it down to 20 then 18 then 16 and all had the same results at about a 2.18 60'.

Also, for what it's worth, last fall I had a 2.2x 60' time with 255/55/18 street tires and an open differential. All the **** I installed gained me nothing.

IMO i would have also tried to launch it at a very HIGH rpm. lots of converters flash higher than they stall, causing a violent launch. and, the shorter tire is going to be an issue. i tried a 26" slick as well, and spun off the line everytime. i am moving to a 29"

i like to try and leave at a higher rpm as to where i am almost breaking the tires loose or rolling through, and see what that does.. after that, i will start backing it down and flashing it. mine does best from 2200ish .

just food for thought.

good luck on getting it right. i havent had any wheelhop issues so i dont have any good input there. sorry.

I know on my truck, my wheel hop came from a tire change. just street tires to street tires, but I went from a good squat and a bit of swaying to a big violent nasty hopping. just for some sort of reference.

What is your pinion angle set to? Mine was wheel hopping pretty bad once I put my converter in because the pinion angle was off. Its set to -3 now and has made a world of difference.

stock, that's not a bad idea at all. I'll change that out too and see if it helps.

The tires aren't the problem. You aren't putting down more power than others have with 26" tires. Launching harder isn't going to fix it either. There is a problem with the suspension with how you have it lowered. You could try clamping the springs to help it out. Either way you need to look over the suspension for the problem. Pinion angle could be the issue, but it's likely spring seperation. I've worked on a few Silverado''s for this problem and it's pretty much always a suspension issue. For referrence your trap speed is 1.7mph faster than my 1/8' when I ran the 14.04.
