I think I'm running about 10.5:1 (milled heads) on 93 pump gas and superchips canned performance tune.
Occasionally see a little KR at light throttle but never any at WOT even with the juice.
Don't think mine would run well (daily driving) on 89 or lower without detuning the timing her a bit.

Its all in the tune, and cam selection. If you could log your part throttle timing when u get KR, you can adjust that or afr to take care of the KR.

not bad for the first time out but with that much displacement and cam/converter you'd be deep in the 12's. Like people have mentioned there's more than one cam only 5.3 running faster than that...

--and for the record, yes, you may gain a tiny bit by adding .5" of diameter to your exhaust but single 3" is plenty for what youre doing... if anything I'd just do a dual 3" setup and be done. it would be enough for future power as well.

dual 3", x-pipe, and one more 30" magna flow? sounds nice!! but I was all for selling you my muffler. so, you and my head guy both said to run dual exhaust, whats the rule when adding nitrous in the mix? will I need more pipe to get more out on a 200 shot?

i would have expected a little more being a single cab. you said the motor was built for nitrous, hit it!
