Those that know the truck, know it was a 4.8 and ran 10.39 at 128.9 last December. Had a Meth failure and that little guy finally let go. I put in a sbe l33 5.3, tick stg.2 boost cam, my original BTR duals and some head studs. I'm running the VS billet 75/96 1.32 AR at 20lbs, 10.5 degrees, on pump 93 and 50/50 meth. Still on foot brake and 2 step. Ran a 1.52 60ft, 6.52 at 106.5, 10.27 at 124 on the brakes, track is short. Got some left in 60ft, left on 6lbs. Maybe we will get lucky and get that 9 come fall.
28x11.5/15 ET Slick, no tubes. Cam and valve spring 5.3 l33. Stock 799s that came on it, added head studs. Stock 03 intake and TB. Stock fuel system, added atomics block off plug for regulator, added a aftermarket -6 regulator, 450 and 255 in tank with hot wire kits. DEKA 80s. 4l80E with PTC 3500 single disk. 3.90 gear. Single QA1 shocks up front, stock dodge ram shocks out back in stock location. Caltracs. Trick stg.2 kit, bought 4 years ago, upgraded to his 4" intercooler with 3" pipes. VS T6 billet 75/96 1.32. Truck should be 4200-4250 with me in it.
Where are you running low 10's without a cage? Or am I missing that in the pics? Last I was involved with drag racing, a 6-point bar was required beginning at 11.99.
Also, what about rear brakes and a 15" rim? Are you running disc or drums?
I'd love to get back into drag racing. Hoping to in the next couple of years after getting caught up on a few other projects.
No cage, and in NC. Rear brake conversion to smaller disc brakes to clear the 15s. I have cut low 1.5 60fts on 16x8" trims with Hoosier 28x10.0 slicks before the conversion though.
