I had one l60 last 3 years, then all trouble. We shall see. I just changed balancer sizes so I had to order a new Vacuum Pump pulley to stay near 67%

Yeah, nobody has ever liked running a transmission with the same ratios as a TH400.....

Seriously, the 80e 1st gear ratio bashing is getting old.

I like the ratios. Mine was faster with the 80e nothing else changed and same stall speed/build.

Make enough lowend and it's a non issue. Granted this wasn't 50psi boost but still, a positive displacement setup at 15psi hits hard at 2800rpm

This 4l80e gear ratio **** has to be a spill over from the facebook page or something.

I posted somewhere else about this **** compared to my opinion of the 14 bolt swap.

I'm gonna really get it fired up now.......bashing a 4l80e to the point that someone is advising that it'll never be good for a truck is worse than the guy at the track that runs 15.00's @ 80 mph and "needs to air down the tires cause it doesn't hook up till the middle of 2nd gear.

Be sure to tip your waitresses, I'll be here all week.

Anyone know if the e85 is still good after 3 to 4 months?
I heard the alcohol separates but can it just be mixed up again with some fresh added? I know to look for water. I was going to drain it all out anyway, probably 10 gallons. Just wondering before I fire it up next weekend...if my pulley shows up.

I think that the biggest problem with ethanol fuels is that they tend to absorb a lot of moisture if it sets around too long.
