Default Need some advice launching!

Hey guys I plan on making the short trip to Chattanooga tommorow and running my 2001 Tahoe down the 1/8 just for fun. It's nothing fancy just a nice street truck.
My question is? With a yank 3000 would I be better trying to launch it off the footbrake or should I just floor it and let it flash? I also have a 2 step that I installed just because I like making noise but I really don't think it's anything that will help performance wise idk...

Any pointers or opinions are appreciated, thanks

I really think you just going to have to try both. It can be either. I would stall it first but traction is imperative for et even though spinning a bit can produce a higher mph sometimes. Either way you're gonna have fun!

Default 1997 vette

My buddy brought his new vette bye it's a 97 auto 5.7 . I copied his pcm data thinking I could get some decent info off it as I'm pretty sure the 01 electric throttle data might be similar.
we ran them from a 20 roll to about 80 and he pulled a couple cars after starting out a couple cars behind me. It was fun I wasn't embarrassed at all. Except when I brake launched his vette across the highway and hit third gear and tried to swing me into a ditch lol
