Anything with clutchs and springs will eventually wear out. Tru trac has small gears. Lsd or tru trac is a major upgrade over the crappy g80.

I would say go with the Eaton LSD. For a daily driver I say the Tru-Trac since it isn't as sensitive to maintenance. The LSD will need to be serviced about every 12k miles where as the Tru-Trac you just put good fluid in it and change it about every 50K. The LSD model has a higher pre-load which is better for all out racing, but the Tru-Trac locks so quick and smooth it really doesn't have any issue's either. I personally have a Detroit Locker and have had no issue's. Other than being noisey it's great and much better than the stock diff.

Tru-trac here... Looking to be putting north of 600 through it on slicks... Locks up flawlessly every single time...

If I may also ask his application. Track or off roading.

I am trying to decide myself and I do lots of off roading so I guess I need one thats locked all the time incase I get a wheel in the air or mud on one side, and slips in the turns on pavement?

Which one would you guys say for me?
