See GM Drivetrain: Under 10 bolt strong enough, read post #15 & #27.
Basically, #15 says some have fragged TrueTracs. Know I don't know who, how much power, or their habits (I'm saying extremely abusive) that happened to.
But another post in that said, put 600 RWHP thru a TrueTrac. I don't think a whole lot are pushing that kind of power. I also think when the time comes, it'll suit me just fine.

Some don't like a TrueTrac & IDK why. Others don't like a LSD.
IDK why since either is an upgrade over stock, but it must be how it hooks up the power to ground. Myself, I'd be happy w/. either.

Im only running 465/450 so anything over stock will help and should last me. Plus I have to roll out of the hole which is a lot less stress than a launch from idle.

Thanks !

Hey Lance. I didn't know you had changed the diff. Three hundred is a lot of runs.

I vote for the Trutrac.

I love mine, it's so much better than the G80. It performs flawlessly on the street (dead quiet), and perfect at the track. It's cheaper than the Eaton LSD (I got it for $360 from Ron's machine shop).

Really, the LSD and the Trutrac are both great options. There are many advocates for both on here, so flip a coin. I also like the that the trutrac only requires regular dino oil and no additive whereas the LSD will take a friction modifier and synthetic oil.
