just another quick update, my G80 is announcing its departure plan sooner than origionally expected so 4.10s and a true-trac soon.

im looking for 12's as well 5.3 ecsb n/a. except i dont have much money and its gonna take me a long time. where are you located. the guys on this site have been a tremendous help. some of my future plans include; ls6 intake, throttle body, switch the shorties for some ca. legal longtubes, different exhuast, custom cam, WCCH stage 2 heads, cal tracs, and tru trac with 4.10 gears. daily driven. maybe we can bullshit sometime, hit me up and good luck with your goal.

thanks man, it's nice to have some competition, and i would suggest going with the SSR/TBSS intake instead of the LS6 as you can keep the torque advantages of the long runner truck intake but gain the advantages of a 90mm TB

BTW, I'm located in houston, TX and i don't think there are such things as CA legal longtubes???

There is NO such thing. Long Tube Headers are illegal. Any tampering or moving of the catalytic converters is illegal. Welcome to California

well ive come across a few "longtubes" but they are not really, but they are longer than the shorties. how hot is it in texas right now, it was 117 here today.

will the ssr intake still drop off at 5800 rpm like the truck intake? or does it pull through a little farther. i want to be able to pull from 6000-65000 rpm. and what modifications are necessary to put that intake on our truck. ( we may have the idenitical truck)

I think that "The Other Guys" made a smog legal mid length set of headers,but I dont think they are around anymore...You would have to find em used
