Dude switch out your gears!!!!! There is some left in your truck man... a lot left. I have a rcsb like you, but a stepside bed, with my 4.8, same gears as you, intake, shorties, no cats and flo's, it did a 10.09 in the 1/8 at like 69. So with your mods, you got some left in her bud!!

I really need to get out to milan though. I've only ran at lapeer once and I would love to see what a better track does.

Get that tune fixed, when i had a 5.3 with the same cam and converter you have, i ran a 14.0 in a ext cab, it wasnt even fully bolton, i was still rocking the shorties back then, and also 3.42s, you definately have more left in her!

I'm really puzzled by your 60'. Either you're spinning off the line, or something's not quite right. 95mph should be good for low 14s, and with your mods, I'd expect a 60' around a 2.0-2.1.

How much extra weight do you have in the truck other than the spare and jack?

I was thinking the same thing. Waisting your money on high octane fuel when you don't need to is foolish and if anythign will hurt performance a tiny bit because it takes longer to burn. I don't know if it is at all noticable but unless tuned for something above regular never waist your time with anything higher.

I run 100 proof from the pump, 5 gallons and just over a 1/4 tank at the track
Get those 4.10's. Yes, I run 3.73 and 4.10's would reduce my chance of ever putting it to the ground but my setup is slightly more radical.
Lose ALL the extra weight. The amount of 'drag' is nothing compared to the amount of energy required to get that extra weight moving.
Tuning.

Tom, you're shifting way too soon. Try adjusting your shift points to 5800, then 6000, then 6200, see what works best. 3.42's with your tall tires are hurting your 60 ft times, you already know that. Drag radials would really benefit you.

Still, that's a decent improvement for only a cam swap. Congrats!! There's a little more in it for sure.

My WOT 1-2 shift point with the 4.8 212/218 cam is 6350 rpms. I have 3.73s and a 29.5 tall tire. At the trap I'm at 6K revs. Vette servo, stock trans/converter
