Default My post cam results

I'd ran prior to cam & got 15.0 last time pretty much on all 5 runs. That was after FLT L7 & 2600 stall, but had the tonneau, spare & jack in. I removed the spare & jack and got nothin. Prior to stall & built tranny, I ran a PB (at that time) of 14.8. Go figure, but no trans tuning was modified for stall. You read right, it was lower. I, however, didn't check weather / DA ( nor have I to date) when I ran 14.8.

Fast FWD to now.
I got there late due to having to work some extra. That's why I only got 3 passes in. I'd planned on gettin there @ 5PM initially, but work comes 1st. So 8:20PM had to do.

I'd had a minor case of not settling in, so do yourself a favor, don't run if it's last minute. But I didn't know if weather would be nce WEd. for T-n-T, so I figured I'd shoot for a new PB even tho time was tight.

Run 1, I put it in 3rd & let computer do the shifting. It shifted 1-2 @ 5300, I'm not sure exactly what 2-3 was, but I'd say it was somewhere near there.

Run 2, I manually shifted & hit limiter on 1-2. I then hit 2-3 at ~6000 rpms. That established my best PB ever to date, even tho I redlighted.

Run 3, I shifted myself again. 1-2 was 5800, 2-3 was 5800 or maybe 6000. That beat my best ever, the previous run.

I didn't do anything other than that. Jack, spare & tonneau were on. I feel there is more left. I didn't dink w/. tire pressure or anything.

I should mention I had almost 1/2 tank & tried some 93 octane too. I never removed the spare nor jack like I did on my last track outing.

For those reading, how are ya posting up your ET slips? I scanned it (w/. help) then used photobucket & it was too dim. Scanned again, darkened it, then copied it, & off to photobucket. Is there a better way?

Dan, I don't think so. Why?

Cause my 60' is similar to when I ran no stall or trans work, or w/in .1-.2 of last time?

I know there's more in it (this cam). I didn't even have time to adjust shift points, shift RPM limit nor raise fuel cutoff. Things don't always go like ya want.

I also didn't do everything like last time out. To do it the same, I'd need to remove jack & spare. And try removing tailgate (which again, did nothin for me before).

I hope to get out again this yr - no tonneau, no jack, no spare.
Try a few runs like that. Then tweak those shifts, shift limit cutoff, & that of fuel cutoff.

Not hanius, but def def some left in there. The 342's are kicking your ***, the 5300 set shift points are no good. With a them mods you should be low 14's no doubt. You also should shed some weight, if your looking for the best time. I like to keep my stuff in the truck, as the way i drive it day to day. your answer to the 60ft has me a little.. Your saying you pulled similar 60's to when you had STOCK stuff, no verter-trans?? If thats the case you are def spinning some, your 60's should be sub 2.2 with a verter.

My tuner / dyno guy keeps tellin me 4.10s. Radix or not. I told him I'll see what it runs on Radix & 3.42s. If I like it, 3.73s most likely; if not, 4.10s. I'm tryin to keep this DD to sip fuel, not guzzle fuel.

Reread. That was only on run #1.
And... I didn't have time to tweak shift points on HPT. Barely got the 3 runs in.

Weight shedding, well, I have some ideas, but...just like u said, I like to keep my stuff in the truck, as the way I drive it everyday. If it goes on a diet, it won't be crazy, but may be implemented over time. May do a few things in the next yr to help that. Even if some may just be for track. Some will def be permanent.

2.2- 2.35 pre stall. Same as it ran after FLT L7 & stall. I expected somethin. Imagine my confusion. It was not tuned for trans tables nor verter either.

i am still rockin the 3.42s but they are hurting me in the 60ft area..2.0 is the best
up the shift points my 1-2 is at 6300 and 2-3 is at 6100
I maybe be off 100rpm on my shift points but that will get you close

3.42s run the quarter in 2nd gear or does it shift into 3rd and cross the traps?
mine goes in 3rd and crosses the traps within 100ft i bet so it kinda falls off then crosses

I pulled out my last slip i ran and compared it to your last one, its ridiculous how close it would be between us..

Now with that said i dont have headers, cam, efans, 1/2 a stall. You have a lot there left, keep at it and im sure you will get it where you want it before the huffer goes on with the loss of some weight and shift point change..

Unless the bed cover is heavy don't take it off. I would say 50 lbs is better then the extra drag of having the gate and cover off.

It isn't dialed in I don't think because even't a baby cam should net you more then 2-3 tenths and if you go from your first time you only gained 1-2 thenths. Maybe it was just the rushed pace of getting there late but somewhere there has to be atleast 2-3 tenths for you to pick up. Good luck and hopefully you get faster next time out.

p.s. What were you mph before the cam? That will help decide if you are making more power now.
