lauching a 5 speed
I recently finished stage 1 of my street strip build. I took apart a 2001 RCSB silverado.
I removed the spare tire, trailer hitch, rear bumper... I replaces all the cross members from the transmission back with roll bar tubing, I fully boxed the frame from the transmission cross member back with 3/16" plate. removed the factory tank, mounted a 16 gallon fuel cell where the spare goes, built long bars, relocated the shocks behind the axle, used CE drag shocks front and rear.
The truck will dead hook, no wheels spin, and pull the front suspension all the way out, almost to the point of lifting the tires, and seems to have zero frame flex while doing it. The problem is that it was a VERY IMPRESSIVE LOOKING 2.0 60' time....
I feel like the truck has more in it for a 60' time.
I tried the roll on gas, roll off clutch technique, and it worked the best. A quick release of the clutch and stab of the gas resulted in a lot of wheel spin, and an "aggressive street launch" netted me a 2.1 60'
Any tips? my last stick drag car was a 03 Mach 1 Mustang, which was fully built, and set up for the track only. It was launched off the rev limiter at 7,000 rpms, and a side step of the clutch, and pulled 1.45 60' times...

What clutch is in it??? Not a stick truck but in my Vette's took me a long time and a some broken diff's to get it right. Totally different animal here and had considered a Regency stick truck but I'm just tired of trying so hard so it will be an auto for me.
