Got a 05 chevy reg cab 2 wheel drive with a 5.3l long tube headers dual flowmasters cold air kit 222/224 566/568 on 112lsa comp cam and springs 3600 stall shift kit 3.73 and 28inch slicks. My best time was 9.27 with a 60ft time of 2.137 1/8th mile. Is that average? Our should it went faster?

should have been faster IMO. my 02 ecsb with the mods in my sig went 9.44 last time out on SSS wheels with street tires
how are you coming off the line? stalling it up or flashing it? have you gotten it tuned for your mods?

your 60 ft should be alot better than that with a converter and slicks. when I had my 5.3 still in my truck it went 9.20's all day w/o headers or a cam just a converter and elec fans and a tune on 27'' et streets

Yes i was spinning more than i should've. I was footbrakin it to around 2000 then launchin. Truck was tuned by tsp, stall is a yank. I went 9.38 with street tires peedling it of the line. Think i need more gear or smaller slicks imo.

I had very similar times(I was a tiny bit faster) with similar mods in my sig. I've trapped as high as 81.x in the 1/8th but my best 60' is only a 2.1. I had horrible wheel hop which was the root of my problem. I'm hoping my new long bars fixed the problem.

I agree, should be much faster. I ran a 9.06 in the 1/8 and I don't have headers yet or nearly as much converter. My converter stalls to around 2500 or so. I also ran that time on the 20's which are just about 30" tall. We have a very similar build with yours having a little more agressive setup. You have some tuning to work on would be my guess.
