Thanks Kevin! it was good to meet you too! your truck looks great! I really like the wheels. cant wait till you get them widened. The only time I got to see you run is when I was broke....the rest of the time I was glued to a laptop trying to make it go faster.

congrats on the 11 second slip. Im itching to see what mine does on the 100 shot, but after seeing your carnage, im kinda hesitant to go.... im on a bone stock DS... on another subject, do you feel drop springs will transfer weight as well as stock springs? i have stock springs/4" LCA's, and my front end lifts up considerably more on hard acceleration than a buddies truck with drop springs/spindle. im sure shocks have a huge role, but it just seems like the longer stock spring will have more rebound

Yeah, I plan on getting the wheels sent off later this year or January, I already got a loaner set in place, just nee the cash to have them done...$285 a wheel.

I didn't run anything spectacular, but did see 6 tenths shaved from my previous best, so she is setting at 15.0 @ 92.81 mph in street trim (20s bed cover, snug lid, etc). With the very short list of mods I have done I'm pleased with that.

Doing Tru-Trac & 4.11s in November and then my Yank in December so I should be getting close to 14.0s by then, especially since I'm going to finally get y panties off and raise my shift points up in the 6ks...

Short term goals are 13s and then long term goals are 11s.

Hope you get your truck up and running soon I would love to watch it run again, you guys coming out here in December?

I dont really know....I have a 1" spring now, but cant remember what the stock spring did. you should be ok on the stock DS as long as your pinion angles are ok.

cool, I will more than likely be up and running in a few weeks. parts are already shipped and coming in for my suspension mods, and hardened input shaft with billet drum(just incase) so I can be safer with the WOT lockup. after this upgrade, the only thing left in the trans to upgrade is trans brake, which wont happen. then the custom DS, DS loops, and some QA1's all around. so I would say by december I should have it all ready.

no, i tried both and settled for cut stock springs, it took a couple of sets to achieve what i was looking for in a drop but i am please how it sits now youre right drop springs are stiffer and stocks will recoil quicker also use stock shocks

I just saw this & I know skeet said "no, i tried both and settled for cut stock springs, it took a couple of sets to achieve what i was looking for in a drop but i am please how it sits now youre right drop springs are stiffer and stocks will recoil quicker also use stock shocks"

I'd have to say I agree w/. skeet.
It seemed to me when I did my 2/4 Hotchkis drop, the wheelhop went bye-bye. While they may not be optimized for drag, cause deflection is nonexistent, that's great for handling. To put in perspective, my stockers had a sweeping arch, these babies are mearly a straight line.

double047, later this year or January, when u get wheels sent off @ $285 a wheel, who's doin them?
