Default I got my 11 second slip!! but then.....

I went out to Crandell with the guys, and had some good runs, and done some tuning. ran a crap tune with a best of 13.2 at 101, and flashed in another tune that Blackgmc and I had done, and ran a 13.02 at 102. I was shooting for 12's n/a, and playing with the lockup on my new verter. as the staging lanes were closing I decided to run the nitrous, which is a 100 shot on a daves 90mm plate........well it started out ok, spun about 30ft off the line, and got to the 1/8 mile fine....but I had set the lockup to come on at 99mph, but right after it did, I had a hard vibration and BOOM!

I twisted the driveshaft at 118mph on the log. I didnt overrev it, but I didnt get full trap speed, cause I was coasting. it slung out, and I drug the rest doun the track. I will take pics later of the damage.

here is the slip....11.80 at 105 lol....damn

yep, just got back from the shop, put it in the air and it took out the case, and the muffler. everything else is no big deal. it hit the tank, but the strap will still hold. I have alot of work to do.

Thanks man, I was thinking mid to low 11's..., but I may be down, but not out for the season. we will see next time. may have to lay off the WOT lockup. I have a .080" wall built driveshaft from ft worth gear and axle which I will never use, nor send anyone too! it looks like the shaft bent and then came apart! I think I will try a driveshaft specialist shaft from san antonio this next time. I dont know any other good places to go. I knowseveral guys now that have broken these shafts from ft worth g&a. crap steel probably.

uploading pics now.

trying new stuff. n/a it is pointless....but on the bottle it pulls HARD! i have been warned by my trans builder not to lock it up anymore if I want the input shaft to last.

Awesome job on the times, whats your truck weigh? sorry about the you getting the shaft though lol. My stock one let go one the highway, not fun.

I since replaced it with a aluminum driveshaft shop unit. So far been as high as 140+ plus on the dyno and 600+tq.

Good luck getting it back together!
