Default How to pick up MPH??????

hey guys im running 8.3's @ 83mph right now. the truck is almost stock aside from my custom turbo set-up @ 10psi

im looking for ways to get my trap up to 86 or 87mph.......

@ 8psi my trap was only 80mph. do you think by upping the boost to 12psi i could get another 2 or 3mph out of the truck

also what a shorter 3000stall torque converter?
Shorter tire?
someway to move the power curve up in the rpms a little? (e-fans?)

any help would be appreciated.... im happy with taking down stock Fbodies and stuff like that but i would like to start getting into faster car territory which is why i need a better trap..

thanks

Shorter tire and lock your converter earlier.

I do. I experimented with various lock-up points and for my application, just after the 2-3 shift is ideal for a good balance between MPH and ET (for me).

A lighter wheel and tire combo will help some. What gears are you running? Most turbo cars like tall gears.
