I had a ecsb that went 13.88 with a bone stock 5.3. I swapped to a bone stock 5.7 ls1 and went 13.27. 6/10 gain from cubes alone. the LS1 and 6.0 have similar HP characteristics with the 6.0 having a bump more torque. take it for what it's worth. I would expect 50-60 hp out of the motor swap.

Man I don't know how on earth yall are getting such good times with stock 5.3's unless they have full bolt-ons and aren't really "bone stock". I was around the 15.4ish range with my stock 5.3 down to the factory exhaust manifolds and tune. Swapped in the 6.0 and street tune and ran a 14.2ish with everything else being equal. Dropped over a second with cubes and a tune.....

It's in the tune.
There is a ton of **** that needs tweaking in the tune.
Your spark curve plays into as well. How fast you get into PE mode, burst knock, etc etc.
That's not even touching the ve or maf tables. A proper tune takes a few hours.
Throw away the intune, please.

Sure loved the sbc for years and years but LS is the king now. If I put together another ride it will be a stock block ls.
