Default How fast are cam only 6.0 rcsb?

As the title states. What are normal 1/4 mile times on cammed 6.0 with 9.5ish comp. in a rcsb 2wd nbs @ sea level.

I was thinking more along the lines of low 12s... Full bolt on 5.3 w/ 220 cam went 12.54@108.

I guess another way to word it is how much will a lq4 with 218/222 cam pick up VS a 5.3 with 220 cam?

I went 12.9's on motor with a tight converter and 11.5 on 100shot. 60's on motor were 2.0's, spray 1.6's. With a loose converter and 4.88's, sure mid to low 12's or better could be achieved.

If normal is the key word I would say high 13s. With all the good stuff low 12's are possible but it damn sure wouldn't be easy. Not your average time for a cammed 4700 lb. race weight.

when my 2003 truck was bone stock with 342s, borla mufflers and diablo sport programmer, it ran a 14.5 the very first pass i ever made on a track in my life. With like a 2.5 sec 60' on street tires.

Same setup on a 75hp zex dry shot went 13.83@99 (only sprayed 1 night at the track) with same crappy 60'.

i should have the motor back from machine shop and in the truck in about 3ish months.

Was just curious what others were running with a 6.0. I have a KB turbo kit so after i mess around with it on motor i'll throw it on and let it eat. I want to run it in stages so i can see what the gains are in each stage. Hoping to eventually end up in the low 10s with current turbo.

The 6.0 should be worth another 40-50hp, but a 218/222 cam in a 6.0 is small, a 220 cam in a 5.3 is actually letting it breathe. Step up the cam in the 6.0

Yea the cam was speced for a 4.8 turbo build but i never installed it in the 4.8. I'm just going to use the cam i have since i see good turbo 6.0 with 215-222 size range cams making good power.

I was told to think small when getting a turbo cam so it will still make power down low before the turbo spools.

You can look at my sig and compare for yourself. I think mine has 13.50's in it the way it sits but the trans is slipping a bit (stock 60e). I figure with a built trans, cam, bit more converter I could knock a second off and be around 12.50s if the traction holds.....

I had a ecsb that went 13.88 with a bone stock 5.3. I swapped to a bone stock 5.7 ls1 and went 13.27. 6/10 gain from cubes alone. the LS1 and 6.0 have similar HP characteristics with the 6.0 having a bump more torque. take it for what it's worth. I would expect 50-60 hp out of the motor swap.
