Ya, most tracks on a street night don't really tech much. If you tell them your faster then a 14, they ask you if you have a helmet and you say ya, they never check the rating. That's always been my experience from the 6 different tracks I've been to. Most don't believe my truck will run faster then a 14, they all think trucks are slow

Just for the sake of mentioning it, a motorcycle helmet will have an "M" classification and while the NHRA will accept that (unless you're running faster than a 7.49), the SCCA, NASA and other roundy-round bodies won't. So if you ever plan on autocrossing or driving any HPDEs, be sure you get a helmet with an "SA" classification.

If you care about the difference, an SA helmet will sustain multiple impacts to the same location (like if it's bouncing off a cage bar) and has fire resistant lining and padding.

damn! thats a good looking set of lightnings up there! i always like those older 351 lightnings better!

i have three helmets, but my truck wont run fast enough to where i can wear them.
