Maybe the displacements are different, but the box dimensions are almost identical to mine. I don't remember what the displacements are for my subs but if they are a lot different than yours that may be where the difference is.

The box is symmetrical though, so I am simplifying the calculations by dividing the total volume in half and figuring one port only, then I will duplicate that on the other side.

Should be different. These are totally different subs which huge voicecoils and crazy specs. They are insane expensive too. LOL
I get the truck back right before Christmas! Woot
What else did you do to get the IATs down? The Radix is on my truck but Rick is very sceptical about the IC that came with my kit so he is going to talk to Brian about what can be done. 150deg IATs is not going to cut it on my combo. lol

My concern then is that the ports are going to take up so much volume that you won't be left with the volume that you are looking for. What I need to do is play with increasing the cross-sectional area and decreasing the length, hopefully I can find a combo that works well and keeps the internal volume you are looking for. I will hopefully have the box done by the time you get the truck back. How long has the body shop had it now?
The big difference in the IAT's is the meth injection, I am running a 60/40 water/meth mix. I am still using the Magnuson-supplied intercooler and heat exchanger, but may upgrade that after I do the new motor. The meth works surprisingly well. Are you running enough compression and timing that the higher IAT's will cause detonation?

Hot damn ****, you are cruising down the line. That is cool as hell. now its time for some bottle to feed the baby. Hey how was the line, was there a lot of people. and did you have to wait in line a long time.

I'm running about 10.8CR right now lol
I'll only be running the stock pulley though. We are trying it out to see how high compresison and low boost works with the Radix since it really doesn't like to try to put out big CFM by being spun hard. Seems to work great on the LS2 motors so we may have a chance.
I always have the meth kit to intsall if need be. I'm glad to hear you are having good results with it
The body shop had the truck since we last talked about the box and Rick got it back about a month ago to start work on fixing a coolant leak from a headgasket (not a blown headgasket) and put the Radix on.

Sounds like a good plan, you'll have to let me know how it works out. I will keep you informed about the box, I am hoping to finish it this week or next weekend. I'll try my hardest to have it done by the time you get your truck back.
Beto...I may spray on the LQ9 eventually, we'll see how that goes. The line wasn't that bad, I think I was getting a run every 30 minutes or so on average. There was one long delay from a guy who dropped his drive shaft and something else and leaked transmission fluid all down the track, but it went smoothly besides that. Too bad you weren't there!
