Question General question. How many of you drive your truck to the track and drive home?

Im just curious guys. Im running a 2000 RCSB 5.3 GMC, Cammed/bolted/ 100 shot n2o/HP tuner/4,000 stall/3:73 gears/ locker. 20" wheels with street tires.

How many of you would drive a truck like this an hour to go race all weekend at the 1/4 mile track, then after the weekends over drive back an hour to go back home with risk of not being able to drive home? Am i crazy or is this normal? I would rather just trailor it both ways.

I have driven to the track most of my times before. I took a trailer everytime but once I planned to spray the 240,000 mi. motor. Didn't like it but I even't drove it 45 min on the DOT slicks 2 times planning to spray because i didn't have a trailer.

From here on out I will be trailering. Reasons being I no longer have heat, soon may be deleating roll down windows, plust many other race oriented changes. While I will drive it on the street occationaly and keep it insured, with the slicks on all the time I don't want to put any non-play miles on them.

Plus I also now have this

to haul the HD to the track on! Company trailer that I can use any time I want.
